I feed my dog with only raw food containing absolutely NO green stuff – nothing but meat, fat, organs and bones, from a model called Prey Model. Meat contains more than just protein and fat – it contains vitamins and minerals too. A dog cannot digest vegetables unless it’s been boiled hard and squeezed, because the dogs lack some enzymes in their saliva and stomach. I myself don’t remember the exact details, as I am quite new at this (and of how my memory works), but I have read a lot about it, and my dog is healthier than ever! :-)
Dogs are carnivore, not omnivore – which you can see both from their teeth and the lack of the enzyme amylase (the one I mentioned earlier), and their digestive system.
