The Orangutan has a fear of water but the dog has helped it overcome it by assisting it in the pool. They are always seen together and the pictures will tell you how obvious the love is. The pool and the stairs seem to be their favorite spot. It’s great how unlikely pairs can be the best of friends. This goes to show man how it’s not all about how one looks and that you can find a true friend from another species too.

And they all have to thank their owner, 42-year-old Tammy Kassis a former insurance agent, from Los-Angeles, who lavishly spent around $20,000 on this over-the-top dog mansion. She loves her two Yorkies and one Pomeranian to death, and she decided to give them a home of their own, when an owl almost snatched one of them up.

She asked deluxe kennel builder, and owner of La Petite Maison, Alan Mower, to create a small replica of her own home, a beautiful Victorian mansion, for her adorable fur balls. Next on her shopping list is a small plasma TV, because the spoiled trio loves to watch Animal Planet.

The pictures are precious and never before have I seen something as cute. The fact that the deer doesn’t look even slightly scared is amazing. It must be hanging around a very nature- loving neighborhood. In the second picture you can see how healthy and velvety the antlers look. The cuddly dogs make you want to steal them too. The deer looks like it knows it’s being photographed and is posing pretty well.

The pack immediately accepted the lost fallow deer when they found him shivering by the Thompsons’ front gate just an hour after he had been born.Rather than being overwhelmed by the attention of such a large pack of dogs, from the Chiddingfold, Leconfield and Cowdray hunt, the confused little fawn thought he’d found his family.A surprised Mr Thompson said: ‘Now Bam Bam thinks he’s a Fox Hound because they all treat him like one of their own.’He won’t be going on any hunts though – he doesn’t have the stamina for it. It’s a fantastic sight to see although we know it’s a strange one and Bam Bam certainly gets a lot of funny looks from passers-by.People shake their heads in astonishment when they spot Bam Bam in among all the hounds as if they can’t believe what they’re seeing.

The friendly fawn is happiest among his fellow hounds on their daily walk.

Mr Thompson’s wife, Karen, 41, said: ‘Bam Bam seems most content when he’s ambling along with the hounds. He’s about the same size as them now so he fits in perfectly and walks along with the pack like they’re his brothers and sisters.’Although the Fox Hounds have come to accept Bam Bam as one of their own, Mr Thompson’s other dogs are rather less tolerant.He said: ‘A pack of domestic dogs would most certainly kill a deer that came across it’s path – I also have two terriers and they would certainly kill anything that came into the garden. They’re only just starting to accept little Bam Bam but I still wouldn’t leave them alone with him.

My Fox Hounds are very different though – the image of them as savage killers is completely wrong. They can be very placid animals and are very accepting of other animals – especially deer.’

After Bam Bam was discovered by the dogs earlier this summer he was brought into the family home in Petworth Park, West Sussex by Mr Thompson’s 12-year-old son, Tommy.

When Karen came down for breakfast that morning she was stunned to see the pair sitting happily on the living room floor.

She said: ‘It was such a surprise, the deer wasn’t afraid at all. He seemed to think that Tommy was his mum because he followed him around the room, and would hide behind the furniture if Tommy ever left.

It was uncertain whether Bam Bam would survive without the care and attention of his mother who had deserted him just yards from the Thompsons’ home, possibly scared off by the dogs.

Karen said: ‘It was touch and go for the first few days. We had to feed him half an ounce of lamb’s milk every hour – this had to be done 24 hours a day and was quite draining.’

Bam Bam is now regarded by the Thompsons as a member of the family.

Karen said: ‘He wanders around the garden and comes to play with us. We’ve had a few garden parties and he is such a favourite with the guests – he’s so friendly and is adored by everyone who meets him.’

Bam Bam, who will grow into a 177 pound adult, will stay with the family until they feel he can be safely released into the wild.

Karen said: ‘We can’t release him into the park here because there are too many people about. Bam Bam is not afraid of humans and we’re worried that this may make him dangerous.

‘He already gives us a nudge when he wants to eat and it’s not so bad because he’s only little but imagine what a nudge could do when he’s got a fine pair of antlers.’

The Thompsons will be sad to lose such a treasured member of the family but they know they can’t keep him forever and plan to set him free once he’s fully grown.

Next year they intend to rehome Bam Bam in a private park where he will be able to join a herd and finally learn how to be a deer.

Traditionally, deer hunting involves chasing the animal with a pack of dogs until it surrenders to exhaustion and can be shot.

This practice was banned under the Hunting Act 2004.

Deer stalking, where the hunter is close enough to kill the animal with a clean shot, is still permitted but with no more than two dogs

The main event of the evening is the fashion show itself, during which everything from dog coats to accessories will be on show. Dogs will be displaying the items along a 60ft long catwalk, promising to be a memorable, unique fashion event. There will also be a raffle on the night, with all profits going to the Retired Greyhound Trust.

Guests at the Pet a Porter Harrods Fashion Show will be given an exclusive doggy bag packed with a selection of canine treats. A new Harrods dog brochure is also being launched at the fashion show, featuring the latest must haves from this season of doggy design.

Dogs for certain let you know once they’re happy though. Tails waggling like they’re trying to set off from the floor, and a wiggly botty that looks to have a mind of they’re own!

However busy life gets it is important to always spend some quality time with the Dog in your life. A bit of fun time helps to cement the bond with your Dog and will help to ease away the stresses of everyday life.

So what shall we do today? Lets make sure we do all of the following with our little poop machines today.

1. Lie on the floor and roll about. Your Dog will be all across you in secs. They love it when you’re at their level.

2. Make up leastwise five fresh nickie namies for your Dog and call it them in a dolt voice. You can’t beat assuring a Dog careening it’s head from face to side in absolute confusion at the idiocy of us Humans. There are dozens of nickie namies in the comments department of my Doggie Woggie Nickie Namies base.

3. A ace long walk. You will not get a more euphoric Dog than when it’s out on a super long walk. If your Dog is banked off lead and so go someplace where the Muttster can have a few freedom and actually get a good run. Our daughters are never more pleased than when they’re sniffing  about acting on all those oh so agitating smells.

4. I have said it earlier and I will say it once again, Raw Meaty Bones, you will not make a Dog happier. Get a good sized Bone and your Dog will be in munchie wunchie heaven. You’ve the added bonus of some quiet clip as the Bone gets slowly munched away.

5. Take some photos. It’s great to get some snaps of your Dog to reflect on in the future. This will make your Dog smile as it knows to move out of shot as soon as you try to take the picture!

And so, just a couple of little things we can all do on our Dogs for now.
